The Spearhead traverse

The Spearhead is the world famous traverse of the heavily glaciated mountain range that connects Whistler and Blackomb mountains together. Nowhere else in North America is there anything like the Spearhead, heavily glaciated and almost all above 2200m/6500ft for over 20 kilometers, the Spearhead is truly one of a kind!

Easily accessed from the ski lifts of the resort we have many route options to take advantage of depending on conditions and peoples abilities. The Spearhead is typically done in three days and two nights out in the mountains. Each day we have several options to take advantage of the excellent ski runs that are easily attained during the traverse and each night we will camp in a beautiful location with some of the most breathtaking views in the massive Coast Mountains.

The Spearhead traverse can also be done in two or one day depending on fitness and abilities, different rates apply for these shorter trips, please inquire for more details.
